BEGINNING OF SCHOOL YEAR 2021/2022
On September 1st, we began the 2021/2022 school year. There is a lot of work ahead of our students – and they are ready for it. Let’s do it!
WELCOME TO „EKONOMIK”
Joint dances, games and integration activities - this is how we welcomed the first graders in our school.

#ErasmusDays is a great opportunity to see how with the funds from the Program you can create a number of initiatives shaping new development and educational opportunities both in the local, professional and international community.
We would like to thank our reliable graduates for a few words on this topic.
A TRIP TO KAZIMIERZ IN KRAKÓW
The tour began with a guided walk around Krakow's Kazimierz. Students visited Wolnica Plac, where in the former Town Hall there is the Ethnographic Museum, Corpus Christi Church, the Old Synagogue, fragments of the old city walls and the Remuh Synagogue with a Jewish cemetery.
The next point of departure was the Baubles Factory and baubles decorating workshops - a show of how to decorate ornaments, making your own baubles. While the baubles were drying, the students watched an educational film on the production process of the baubles, and then visited the factory: the baubles coloring and decoration department and the department for packing them to the customer. At the end, everyone could buy baubles in the factory shop. It was fun!
LECTURE AT THE WSB ACADEMY IN DĄBROWA GÓRNICZA
On November 15, 2021, class 4bc (logistics technician) took part in lectures at the WSB Academy in Dąbrowa Górnicza.
Lecture topics: A Brief History of Money, Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies.
Then our students got acquainted with the structure of the university, they got to know professional studios, the library and the gym.
A MEETING WITH THE SPOKESMAN FOR THE AGAT MILITARY UNIT IN GLIWICE
On November 15, 2021, class of logistics participated in an unusual meeting with Major Mariusz Lapeta - spokesman for the Agat Military Unit in Gliwice. The Agat unit was established in 2011 in the Gliwice garrison on the basis of the disbanded Special Division of the Military Gendarmerie. Agate is by definition an assault unit that performs direct actions within the group.
During the meeting the students got to know the history of the unit and the meaning of its symbols, the tasks of the Unit during hostilities and in peacetime, the functioning of military logistics, as well as the rules of recruitment to Agat and the course of training in special forces.
The classes were supplemented by films from the unit's work and colorful anecdotes by Major Lepeta, who was also very eager to answer any questions from the students.
ST. NICHOLAS’ DAY CELEBRATION
On December 6, as every year, our school was visited by St. Nicholas' Day celebration. Each class sang a Christmas carol and offered a home-made Christmas decoration.
WORLD HIV/AIDS DAY
On the occasion of World HIV / AIDS Day, two competitions took place in our school: art contest and knowledge competition. Congratulations to the winners!
NATIONWIDE RANKING OF TECHNICAL SCHOOLS
The monthly magazine Perspektywy has been preparing the Ranking of Secondary Schools and Technicians in Poland for many years. Every year, hundreds of thousands of students wait for this day to compare secondary schools throughout Poland and in their city, because the choice of the right secondary school often depends on their entire adult life!
In the case of the Technicians Ranking 2022, four criteria apply. Here they are:
• successes in the school competitions 20%
• secondary school-leaving examination - compulsory subjects 20%
• secondary school-leaving examination - additional subjects 30%
• vocational exams results 30%
We are pleased to announce that the Technical Secondary School of Economics at CKZiU in Chorzów won the bronze shield in 2022 taking the 351st place among all technicians in Poland and 54th place among the technical schools in Silesia.
VOCATIONAL WEEK – THIRD EDITION
On Monday, April 21 we are starting the third edition of Vocational Week. Students in grades 1-3 will take part in lectures, talks and workshops conducted by university lecturers and specialists from various institutions. Participation in the above activities will give our students a new perspective on the profession in which they are learning - they will learn many interesting facts and additional information.
HEALTH PROMOTION WEEK
As every year, preventive activities were carried out in our school to disseminate knowledge about a healthy lifestyle among young people and to build pro-health and responsible behavior. This year's activities were not limited to just one week. Health promotion was carried out with the help of class teachers, who, if possible, made preventive materials available to young people during educational lessons, conducted talks via websites and distributed previously received leaflets and brochures.
FAREWELL TO THE GRADUATES OF THE SCHOOL YEAR 2021/2022
On April 29 in the auditorium of CKZiU we held a solemn farewell to the graduates of our school. There were speeches, wishes, memories and a short artistic part. There was joy and tears that this was the end of a certain stage in life. Our school was left by students of the Technical Secondary School of Economics and the Secondary School for Adults. At the end, the last school bell rang for our graduates…
OPEN DAY AT OUR SCHOOL
On May 21, the second Open Day was held at our school. Primary school students and their parents could see the rich educational offer of our school for the school year 2022/2023. Everyone could take part in numerous attractions specially prepared for them, and teachers and students were committed to telling about everything that is most important in the school. You could also visit every nook and cranny of the school.
„WHEN HUMAN MEMORY FADES…”
We are pleased to announce that our school has received a certificate confirming participation in the project of the Silesian Superintendent of Education and the Silesian Center for Freedom and Solidarity: "When human memory fades, the stones continue to talk - 12/13/1981 - We remember", which was carried out in the current school year as part of 40th anniversary of the introduction of martial law in Poland.
END OF SCHOOL YEAR 2021/2022
On June 24, CKZiU students said goodbye to the 2021/2022 school year. The Director presented the best of the best with diplomas, awards and school certificates. After the official part, we saw a presentation with memories of the past year, then the students met with their tutors.
